Tell Us About Your 2008 Blogging and Podcasting Events
By: Shelly Brisbin
As you probably know, we run a calendar of events in each issue of B&P. In addition, I want to do a news story for the next issue that will round up important conferences, trade shows, gatherings, meet-ups and other events that bloggers and podcasters should know about. The idea is to help readers plan their travel schedules for the year, and pick the best opportunities for learning, networking and general pod/blogging goodness.
If you know of an important blogger and podcasting event that will occur in calendar year 2008, please let us know. You can add your event to the comments for this post, or drop us an email at feedback at bloggerandpodcaster dott comm.

This is a smaller event than the others being listed here, but I hope some of you may be interested. My podcast, The Book of Life, will host a LIVE call-in show on Thursday, February 7, 2008, 3-4pm EST using the Talkshoe.com service. You are invited to join the discussion!
The Book of Life is a monthly podcast about Jewish books, music, film and web. The Feb.7 show’s theme is “Funny, That Book Doesn’t Look Jewish!” We’ll be discussing what makes a book Jewish, and we’ll hear from author Pamela Ehrenberg, whose middle-grade novel Ethan, Suspended is a good example of a book that may or may not be seen as Jewish.
To call in on Feb.7, dial 724-444-7444, and punch in the Call ID 10816. It’ll ask for a 10-digit PIN, but if you don’t have a Talkshoe.com account you can sign in as a guest by pressing 1 and the pound key. (Please note, this is NOT a toll-free call.)
Full instructions for participating can be found on The Book of Life website at http://www.bookoflifepodcast.com and also as brief podcast episode at the same address - I’ve got you covered whether you are a visual or auditory learner!
Please consider participating in our live call-in show! And for those who only want to listen, you can listen live on February 7 at http://www.bookoflifepodcast.com using the player in the right-hand menu bar, or you can listen later when it’ll be posted as a regular podcast episode.
Can’t wait to talk to you on February 7!
Heidi Estrin
