A New Season, A New Staff

By: admin

Here’s a peek at the subject of my July 2007 Editor’s Note….

Beginning Friday, June 1, Shelly Brisbin takes over as editor-in-chief. Shelly’s well known in the podcast world as producer of Shelly’s Podcast and Hollywood on the Radio, and she’s been a guiding force here at Blogger & Podcaster since joining our staff in January. This Texan has a good grasp of new media, at least enough to ask tough questions of our developers as we continue to expand offerings and tweak we’ve already brought online.

Joining her will be Elisa Welch, a San Francisco-based editor and musician who worked with Shelly at a previous technology publication. We’re hoping, among many other things, that Elisa will help keep this blog’s content fresh and updated often.

Why the change in the magazine’s leadership? For that, you’ll have to wait for the July issue to arrive.

Why do we have to wait until the July issue? I thought this was a monthly. I havent seen anything since April.

    Leslie,

Monthly magazines are produced well ahead of time. We’re just now wrapping up the July issue. The June issue is due to come out tomorrow. We had to synch up schedules with the printer and podcast producers.

Thanks for your question. I’m sure a lot of people are wondering the same thing.

Can you send a link to the May issue? Thanks..

  4. Anne Says:

    Hi again, Leslie:

We mentioned in an earlier blog entry that we had to push our mid-month publish date out two more weeks to synch up with the printer’s and podcast producers’ schedules. So, there is no May issue. We’re now coming online on the first of each month instead of the 15th.

Those who subscribed to the print issue will still get 12 issues mailed to them; it’ll just be extended by a month if they signed up prior to today.

    Hope that helps.
