Larstan's Blogger & Podcaster Magazine is looking for self-motivated, friendly, efficient and organized people to join our advertising sales team. All applicants must be accustomed to working independently and effectively and focused on developing new relationships with advertising prospects, PR firms and Ad Agencies. All applicants must have prior sales experience and be able to demonstrate a strong sales record that includes experience prospecting and growing account lists. Magazine and On-line advertising industry sales experience is preferred.
Summary/Responsibilities will include:
- Working to develop business advertising prospects
- Proactively developing new advertising accounts.
- Intelligently manage a sales pipeline over the phone, email and in-person.
- Works consultatively to optimize relationships.
- Developing and targeting advertising media campaigns with clients to formulate strategy.
- Pro-actively considering creative ways to find potential clients.
- Meeting revenue targets.
- Negotiate contracts.
- Conducting industry research utilizing all available resources.
- Proven ability to manage executive level, multi-decision maker and committee involvement.
- Becoming an expert on the fast growing Blogger & Podcasting market.
- Affiliations within the media industry.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience and proven track record.
- Passionate about sales.
- Efficient, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with and ability to work quickly and regularly.
- Some customer service/client service experience.
- Strong computer skills. Broadband connection.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- This is an ideal position for a self-motivated, initially high commissioned based, sales professional with 3+ year track record of success with an entrepreneurial company that values and supports their sales professionals
